Dreambound captures an intimate yet lush, mystical, and colorful fictional world and tells a story about grief, love, hope and so many other things. The music is a blend of electronic and acoustic instruments with emotional melodies and a focus on dense moods. The genre might be described as digital fusion.

All of the songs were written between 2019-2020 for a game project that I felt deeply connected to. The project was put on hold in 2021 and after taking a break to digest, I started reworking all the compositions and the mixes as a sideproject during 2022. These tracks are some of the most beautiful things I ever created - because I resonated with the story and the world they were created for and enjoyed a lot of creative freedom to express the story/world how I thought fit.

Releasing the music without the game is heartbreaking, since the music has less value if you can’t experience the story it belonged to. Nevertheless it is also a celebration of the work and effort the team put into the game up to that point - and all the things that could have been. Going back to the tracks that were laying around for 1-2 years and making them more beautiful than they were before also was a cathartic experience in accepting the situation for me.

Thank you Benjamin Sonnenschein for writing the stories that inspired these tracks and the ideas and feedback that shaped them. And thank you Max Krüger for the feedback, additional voice performance and help choosing the songtitles - and Anna Köhler for encouragement and feedback (also on the cover art), as well as help with the songtitles.

I hope you enjoy listening to these tracks as much as I enjoyed writing and producing them.
